The Borough of Auburn is located in southern Schuylkill County with less than 700 in population. It is a small community where most residents know families for generations and watch out for each other. The area was historically called the “Scotchman’s Lock” when the first house was built in the 1830’s and later changed to “Auburn” in 1842 when the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad reached the area.
